Ahir Shah: Ends

Ahir Shah presents his award-winning stand-up show Ends. The show spans six decades, three generations, and two continents, synthesising past and present in search of hope for the future. It’s funnier than it sounds, honestly. Loads of absolutely cracking gags.

Ends was first performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, winning the 2023 Sky Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. He’s now finally able to take it on tour, and he’s very much looking forward to it. You should come, it’ll be good.

Russell Hicks: Happy To Be Here

Sat 22 Feb 2025 • 8pm • Full £16 • Comedy

Russell Hicks heads out on his first tour, but not his first rodeo. (Warning: This is a stand up show. NOT a rodeo.) Russell Hicks is here to stay and he really is happy to be here. So, why don’t British People believe him?

Hot off the back of a starring role in an Amazon Prime show that nobody watched, and was cancelled immediately, American Stand Up comedian Russell Hicks, lives in the UK where he allegedly performs stand-up comedy. Naturally, his parents still think he makes his money through some kind of illegal activity, so buy some tickets and help prove his legitimacy!

You may have heard Russell as the voice of Sky Comedy, seen him entertain studio audiences at ‘Have I Got News for You’ or caught him opening for the likes of Al Murray or ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ winner Axel Blake. He’s performed up and down this country, picking up three Leicester Festival nominations along the way. He’s even been officially declared a Global Talent by Arts Council England.

Known for his improvised performances, Russell Hicks has amassed millions of views online, and gained a devoted following of fans who’ve come to know that no two shows will be the same. Considered one of the best improvisers in the country, Russell has appeared on some of the UK’s biggest networks. He has starred in several episodes of ITV’s ‘Stand Up Sketch Show,’ and won the Channel 4 competition series ‘Captive Audience’ with his

fully improvised comedy, and starred in Prime Video series ‘Lovestruck High’ narrated by Lindsay Lohan as the loveable Texan Coach Hughes.

Markus Birdman: We Are All In The Gutter, But Some Of Us Are Looking At The Gutter

Fri 4 Apr • 7:30pm • Full £15.50 Concs £13.50 • Comedy

Proudly presented by Phil McIntyre Live

Last year, after 20 years of stand up, I did Britain’s Got Talent. People asked me, “why now?”. The year before, I’d also had a stroke and lost half my eyesight. I was now keen to talk about my experience, comedically, to as wide an audience as possible. I did quite well, got to the semi-finals & had my 15 minutes fame.

Careful what you wish for! Who knew that talking about my experience would be so offensive? How dare I make jokes about my own strokes & blindness! “You nasty, awful man”.

This is a candid and hilarious new stand-up hour, talking about who I am, in an era where people are really keen to hear about who you are, so long as who you are, is something they want to hear about. Otherwise “you deserve your stroke*.”

Never mind the haters, I come back at you with love. Well, a couple of you can still kiss my half-blind backside**

*an actual online comment
**I never had a single complaint from anyone who had actually had a stroke.
