The Rondo Scriptwriting Group

The Rondo Scriptwriting Group will recommence in September 2010.

Age 18 upwards. 7.45pm.

The Rondo hosts a playwriting forum for anyone who is writes scripts at any level. The perfect opportunity to share ideas, identify problems and work through some of the tricks of the trade. There will be visits from theatre professionals to give advice on getting your work shown.

Led by Dougie Blaxland.

The meetings will encourage existing writers and help those who have an ambition to write to get started.

The sessions may involve:

Approaches to writing plays for the stage/developing structure/developing character/developing theme
Reading and commenting on the work of one/two of the group each week.
Setting specific tasks including writing for a group of actors...
Getting your work out there/approaches to getting work staged/ the realities of the market place....
Advice on new work to see
Occasional visits from other professionals to bring new and varied perspectives to the sessions
Rehearsed readings
