Big State Theatre was formed in 1996 and since 2001 has been Company in Residence at the Arc Theatre, Trowbridge. It is the only professional theatre touring company in West Wiltshire.
Alongside their touring programme, Big State runs an award-winning education programme for young people which also incorporates film making.
Past Big State successes at the Rondo include 'The Fire Starter', 'Sixteen Types of Happiness', 'Hitting Dennis' and 'Spaghetti Weston Super Mare'. Performers Mark Bishop, Julie Black and Ashley Christmas have an impressive list of acting credits to their names, including work with The Natural Theatre Company, The Young Vic and Hull Truck.
A woman, a young pet-sitter, is discovered floating on a buoy in the middle of the ocean. She slowly reveals her version of events that took place within an inner city tower block, when what began as a fairly straightforward task of moving an old lady's pets escalated to a saga of biblical proportions....
Fetch! is a fast-paced, physical comedy that is both hilarious and deeply absurd. Highly visual and atmospheric 'Fetch!' makes ingenious use of film, video and puppets, and brings to life a parade of bizarre characters including a Russian spy with a Tom Waits obsession, people who live in cupboards, and a concierge straight out of The Archers....
Surreal, fast fire comedy of the best kind that will appeal to ages 14 years up.
