Following its sell-out run at the Theatre Royal’s egg last year and fresh from wowing audiences in London this May, Mate returns to Bath funnier than ever.
The show follows two friends, Toni & Will in their attempts to oust unwanted houseguest Wes. The humour is broad in its scope, from cleverly crafted tautology jokes all the way along to mime humping.
New Old Friends fill the gap between theatre and stand-up; the gag-rate is so high that you’ll be gasping for breath.
Full of witty one-liners you'll be using for weeks - Bath Life

"Sarah’s Mother was a funny kettle of fish. She had once been bright and lovely all skipping silvery scales. But dark was the trawler that dragged her quick and thoughtlessly in, and dark was the fisherman who saw her flapping and beautiful in her little kettle…"
Richard’s Love takes you into a magical and muddled world to tell the tale of Sarah, her unlikely hero Richard and her tricky Mother, who is determined to stand in the way of their love.
Full of beautifully intricate shadow puppets, quirky characters, a fun soundtrack and some impressively fast costume changes, this is a tale of love, hope, isolation and betrayal in a world where mermaids can be seduced out of the sea and gnomes might be called upon to leave the garden...

In manner and style, he has the confident, unconfrontational nature of Dave Gorman, though for material he is certainly an original. An impressively strong routine - Chortle

Jon Holmes reads from his book Rock Star Babylon, with Stephen Fry as ‘the voice of the footnotes’.
Rock and roll and rumour go together like Peaches and Geldof. Crafted with the all the loving detail that you’d expect from a man who holds the UK record for the largest ever broadcasting fine for breaching taste and decency rules, Rock Star Babylon opens up a Pandora’s musical box of bad behaviour and jumps head first into the mess.
Join the co-creator of Dead Ringers and (tiny) star of Radio 4’s The Now Show and Radio 2’s The Day The Music Died as he reads from his potentially libellous book.
The evening is also a unique opportunity to hear the stories that the lawyer wisely made Jon take out of the book before it was published.

Just a day in the life of a park bench…until the Confederate colonel, the secret agents, the ladies’ man and scores more show up to swap punches and punchlines at a furious pace.
If P.G. Wodehouse had penned the Dukes of Hazzard, it would have looked something like this hysterical debut comedy from local playwright Brian Kimberling.
A tale of war, women and whiskey that will leave you laughing for days.

EDWARD ACZEL returns with a new show to save the world.
After garnering a string of four and five star reviews; performing a sell-out run and scooping the Malcolm Hardee Award at the Edinburgh Festival last year for his show Do I Really Have To Communicate With You? Aczel presents his latest impeccable shambles.
Edward Aczel – Explains All The World’s Problems… And Then Solves Them sees the “scintillatingly shambolic” (The Times) comedian using little more than a flip chart, audience input and an emergency Steve McQueen impersonation to solve such problems as the credit crunch, climate change and, crucially, stand-up comedy.
Please note there is a strict no refunds policy on problems that you feel he hasn’t solved.
