A hilarious romp through the bubble-gum years of teenage life. Angela and Maxine, two sixteen-year-olds, attack life with laughter, vibrancy and excitement. Besotted with Madonna they truant from school, form a band, attempt to write pop songs - and with hairbrushes in hand they live out their adolescent dreams of becoming famous. The play erupts into a roller-coaster of emotions as it tackles, hope, sex, driving ambition, despair and most of all love. “As rib-achingly hilarious as it was hanky-soakingly tragic” - Rotherham and South Yorkshire Advertiser “One of the funniest, saddest, emotional, well-scripted and acted plays from the last year” - Grimsby Telegraph |

Victor Borge was a brilliant pianist, virtuoso comedian and, at one point, the highest paid entertainer in the world. He passed away in his sleep on December 23rd 2000 aged 91. In 'Rainer Hersch's Victor Borge' the Great Dane's hilarious act has been lovingly re-imagined for the 21st century by his natural successor, Rainer Hersch. On stage Rainer plays the role of both Borge and himself as he tells the stories of both men with charm and humour. This intriguing production was a total sell out at the Assembly Rooms in the 2004 Edinburgh Fringe Festival under the title 'Borge Again!' “It's hard to imagine that if the great Victor Borge himself had taken the stage, he would be more entertaining than Rainer Hersch's tear-streamingly funny tribute.” - The Scotsman. |

From the innovative and award-winning Big State comes a darkly comic and hilariously surreal new show set in a field hospital somewhere in time. The cast of characters find themselves in a crazed and desperate world where everything makes perfect sense and there's a reason for everything as long as they're ingenious enough to find it. Developed with writer John Nicholson from Peepolykus and director Andy Burden, Big State once again combine film with live action opening the floodgates of the celluloid world and releasing cavemen, Kung Fu, coq au vin and road-kill. Jump in for a mind-bending trip amongst the defibrillators. “Highly anarchic, yet taut and disciplined to the nth degree... a surreal and hilarious evening” - Venue Magazine |
